Congratulations Gayla and thank you to all the moms who participated in this exciting promotion. We are happy to report that over 2,000 people voted and the public support was phenomenal. Stay tuned to see the new "chic" Gayla at our upcoming event - Runway USA: Celebrating Women in Uniform - on November 7th at the Northshore Music Theater.

WINNER! Gayla of Danvers
This Mom definitely needs a makeover as my 8 year old looks at my clothes and goes you are going to wear that? My husband continually tells me I dress older than I am that's why everyone thinks I am his mother. (He's fortunate to look 10 years younger than he is.) I am an extremely active mom of a wonderful eight year old Michaela who goes to Great Oak and has a lot more fashion savvy than her mom! I sit on the board of directors for three local non profits: Danvers Kiwanis, I am vice president of DEEP (Danvers Educational Enrichment Partnership) and incoming vice president of NSWIB (North Shore Women in business) so this is crucial year for me to look my best. I need to have a professional image to represent these wonderful organizations. The clothing in your store is amazing and I sure could use the help making sure I look my very best. By the time I get home I am exhausted and the last thing I have time to think about is me and how to make me look Chic like I should. So please Lorraine Roy I need your help!!

I would like to throw my hat in the ring for your Chic Mom makeover contest... along with my ripped jeans, crocs, over-sized sweaters, bad mom hair, etc.

I am a 37 year old mother of a 21 month old amazing little lady named Sydney. Miss Sydney arrived into this world in (36 hour!) dramatic fashion and hasn't let up since. Soon after her arrival, she was diagnosed with some birth defects that we are still working through and managing. To make life more challenging, my mother passed when Sydney was just 5 months old after battling breast cancer. Suffice to say I have not had much time or energy to dress this body up. In fact my attire has been so dreadful that even my own next door neighbors did not recognize me when I wore a skirt/shirt out last month!

This body is just about back in pre-baby shape and now it just needs a makeover!

He gets in the car - 50 miles one way - and works until it's dark
while we spend days, enjoying the sun, on the beach and in the park.
We get the nice car while he drives too far to work his stressful days,
then comes home to a wife wearing ten year old jeans, mac-and-cheese and dried mayonnaise.
I'd love to look fresh and neat and new -
ready for dinner and dance -
but being a mom's been my number one job,
and my wardrobe has suffered mischance...
My Jimmy Choos have run away, my make up drawer makes me blush.
Victoria used to tell me her Secrets, but now she just says "Shush!"
I'm Jonesing to look New York, but my fashion sense is daft.
I've got to ship out these worn-out clothes that not even Old Navy would draft.
So help me Lorraine, for I'd love to regain
that fun feeling of turning his cheek.
Hide these chocolate milk blues in some silk charmeuse
and make this mommy chic!
